During the week of November 12, three legacy walls will debut on Muskegon’s General, Hackley, and Mercy Campuses. According to Jennifer Haworth, Director, Mission Services, the purpose of these walls is “to help our colleagues remember our roots and celebrate our shared legacy as we grow into the new Mercy Health medical center.”
The legacy walls will be located in the following areas:
- General Campus in the main lobby
- Hackley Campus in the lower level tunnel that connects the main hospital to the cafeteria
- Mercy Campus on the main first floor hallway near the Eastside employee entrance (former surgery corridor)
Each legacy wall features a graphic of a tree with photographs of the General, Hackley and Mercy Campuses as well as the new Mercy Health medical center. On each visual, colleagues will be encouraged to use the Sharpie pens available to offer a heartfelt response to the following:
“We are proud of our heritage and the role every colleague plays in bringing our mission and values to life. As we grow into the new Mercy Health medical center, we invite you to offer a word or two of thanks for whatever fills your heart with gratitude for the experience you have had at one or more of our legacy campuses.”
All colleagues are invited to visit and offer their words of gratitude.
