New Lifestyle Clinic in Muskegon Combines Medicine, Nutrition and Exercise to Meet Patient Fitness Goals

The Mercy Health Lifestyle Clinic is now open at 481 Shoreline Drive in downtown Muskegon, sharing space with PEAK Training Academy and the Mercy Health outpatient physical therapy center.

The Lifestyle Clinic, headed by Dr. Nick VandenBosch, family practice specialist with Mercy Health Physician Partners, will utilize a combination of exercise, nutrition and medicine to reach patient health and fitness goals. The clinic is available to people with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30+ who also meet certain criteria, including high or borderline high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol, fatty liver, diabetes or prediabetes, gastroesophageal reflux (GERD) or chronic kidney disease. Individuals can also join with a BMI of 40+ without any additional risk factors.

The Lifestyle Clinic’s programs are supervised by Dr. VandenBosch, and include options on fitness classes, a personalized nutrition plan and prescribed medications if needed, as well as ongoing monitoring of progress. The clinic will enhance the health and wellness of participants with a goal of motivating, educating and empowering people to take an active role in their wellness through lifestyle changes.
